A Bogra court on Monday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment for killing his son one year back.The court also fined him Tk 10,000, in default, to suffer more two years of imprisonment.Additional District and Sessions Judge A M Md Saeed delivered the verdict in presence of the convict.The convicted person is Bidhan Chandra Sarker, son of Shinish Sarkar of village Darugram under Sherpur upazila in the district.According to prosecution, Bidhan hacked his son Durjoy to death over family feud in the village on August 31 in 2015.Agomoni, mother of the deceased, filed a murder case against her husband Bidhan with Sherpur Thana in this connection.After investigating into the case, Sherpur Thana police submitted charge-sheet against the only accused.Examining witnesses and evidences, the court handed down the verdict.Advocate Abdul Matin stood for the state while Advocate Abdul Mottalib defended the accused.
