A dacoit ring leader was killed in an alleged gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at SO road area of Pathantuli under Siddhirganj upazila in Narayanganj on Sunday at 2am.The deceased is Delwar Hosen Delu alias Master Delu, 39, son of Motin alias Jomir Bepari, of Nagar Khanpur area in the district. RAB members also recovered huge quantity of drugs, arms and cocktails from the spot. Assistant Superintendent of Police Shibly Sadik, Commander of RAB-11 (CPC 3), said, a team of RAB along with Delwar went to recover arms at Pathantuli area after arrested him. Sensing presence of RAB, Delwar cohorts opened fire that forcing them to retaliate a ‘gunfight’. At that time, Delwar was killed on the spot and sent to Narayanganj 100 beded Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he added.
