A retired army member of Bangladesh Army was slaughtered to death by miscreants at Mawagari village of Dhaperhat union under Sadullapur Upazila in Gaibandha on Friday night.The deceased is Md. Abdur Sabur Pramanik, son of Md. Golzar Rahman Pramanik, of village Mawagari under the upazila.The cause behind the killing could not be ascertained. No case was filed yet in this connection. According to police, Abdur Sabur went to local market on Friday afternoon and he didn’t back to home. Later local people spotted his body in a garden beside his home. Being informed, police recovered his throat-slit body. The several marks of injuries were seen in his different parts of body. Md. Farhad Imrul Kayes, officer-in-charge of Sadullapur Police Station¸ said, the dead body was sent to Gaibandha Adhunik Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
