President Abdul Hamid on Tuesday stressed providing training to every member of the Bangladesh Army as there is no alternative to training for the development of a disciplinary force and achieving the highest professionalism."Training is an ongoing process. So every member of the Bangladesh Army has to give priority to training to attain highest professionalism," he said.The President said this while addressing a parade at the fifth reunion of Artillery Corps at Artillery Center and School at Halishahar of the port city.The Army members should remain aware about the latest techniques and hardware to keep pace with the age, Abdul Hamid said adding that strict discipline apart from training can take a member of Army to the peak of professional excellence.He said the members of the force always discharge their duties with very integrity when the country needs most which earned the great respect of the country’s people.The President termed Artillery Regiment as an important part of the Bangladesh Army and said the regiment has a long historic heritage.The President inspected the parade of Artillery Corps, took salute, and signed Visitors Book kept there.Earlier on his arrival at the parade venue, Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq received the President.
