Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested five people including a union parishad (UP) chairman from Barorbazar fish market area under Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah on Thursday.The arrestee UP chairman was identified as Abul Kalam Azad, chairman of Barorbazar union parishad.Acting on a tip-off, a team of elite force conducted a drive in the area and arrested them. The Rab members also recovered cocktail bomb, phensidyl, yaba tablets and cash money from their possession.They have been doing drug trade for long days in the area.
