A soldier of Bangladesh Army engaged in the peace mission of the United Nations in Mali has been killed in a road crash during his duty on October 13, said an ISPR press release here on Wednesday.It said the body of Mohammad Abul Bashar, 30, was brought back to Bangladesh on October 22 and was buried at his village home in Titas, Comilla, on October 24 after his namaz-e-janaza in Dhaka Cantonment Central Mosque and at his village, Purakandi.Members of the bereaved family and senior officials of the armed forces attended the namaz-e-janaza of Abul Bashar, the body was taken to his village home by a helicopter and buried under military funeral rituals that include a farewell salute offered by a smart contingent.Bangladesh Army expressed its deep shock at the pre-mature death of Abul Bashar and conveyed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family, the release added.
