A Khulna court on Wednesday sentenced Sharif and Mintu to death for killing 12-year-old boy Rakib Hawlader in Khulna by pumping air into his rectum on August 3.Acting judge of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court Dilruba Sultana passed the verdict.The court emancipated Sharif’s mother Beauty from the murder charge brought against her in the lawsuit along with the duo.Earlier on Aug 3, Sharif and Mintu, Rakib’s former employers, had inserted a high-pressure air pump nozzle into the child’s rectum and filled his body with air at Sharif’s motorcycle repair workshop in Tutparha.
