A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed Masud Mallick, driver of slain Eden College former vice-principal Professor Ali Hossen Malik, on a three-day remand in a case filed with Vashantek Police Station.Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mazharul Islam placed him on three-day remand when sub-inspector of Vashantek Police Station Ashik Iqbal, also the investigation officer of the case, produced him before the court seeking a ten-day remand.On the other hand, sub-inspector of Vashantek Police Station Ashik Iqbal on Wednesday produced Sayed Fakir alias Saiful and Sujon to separate Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court for recording their confessional statement.Metropolitan Magistrate S M Masud Zamman and Sazzadur Rahman recorded the confessional statement of Saiful and Sujon respectively. After recording their statement, the courts sent back Saiful and Sujon to jail.On Monday, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Sayed Fakir and his brother Sujon from Gaurnadi Upazila in Barisal and mastermind Masud Mallick from ECB terrace area in Dhaka.It is mentionable that, the 70-year-old retired professor was found dead at his office in Old DOHS on October 11.
