Tamim first Bangladesh batsman to score 5,000 ODI runs

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal added another cap to his illustrious career as he reached the milestone of scoring 5,000 ODI runs as the first Bangladeshi batsman.He was 38 runs away of the record before starting the third ODI against England at Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.The swashbuckling opener reached the feat in the 22th over of the game by smashing English bowler Chris Woakes a boundary.Tamim currently holds the highest run and century in all formats for Bangladesh, something which a unique record since no batsmen in the world makes such records as yet for his country.
