A dacoit was killed in an alleged gunfight with police in Lakshmipur on Monday at around 3am.The incident took place at areca nut garden of Uttar Keroa village of Keroa union under the Raipur upazila in the district.The deceased was identified as Rajon alias Rajon, son of late Syed Ahmmed, of the Uttar Keroa village.His body was sent to Lakshmipur sadar hospital.In this connection, Lokman Hosen, Officer-in-charge of Raipur Police Station, was not available over the phone.
