The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will stage demonstrations across the country on Monday in protest of an arrest warrant against the party’s senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman in a sedition case.BNP’s Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said this at a press briefing at party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Saturday.On 8 January 2015, the treason case was filed with Tejgaon police station over the live telecast of a provocative speech by Tarique at a programme in London on 5 January.Tarique has been in London since 11 September 2008 on medical grounds after securing parole in various cases.
